Prioritizing mental health in the line of duty
To provide supportive interventions for first responders to enhance their mental and emotional well-being through peer support, incident debriefing, evidence-based treatment, and resilience education to help them thrive in their personal and professional lives.
The Medina County First Responder Support Team – or Medina County F1RST – is made up of ICISF (International Critical Incident Stress Foundation) certified volunteer first responders dedicated to providing supportive resources to fellow responders, following critical incidents and at times of need for support, to reduce the effects of job-related stressors and traumatic events. The team includes licensed mental health professionals who support the team in providing consultation and referral to needed behavioral health services.
