• The PEER SUPPORT page on our website is now active! We are looking to add more pictures and bios to the site. If you are someone who tends to be more interested in the peer support aspect of our team rather than the group setting, this is a perfect opportunity for you! Click HERE to complete your bio.

• Special thanks to everyone who was able to make it to the quarterly meeting on Monday 5/19. We covered many topics including our team's Strategic Plan and two different slide presentations - Team Marketing and START NOW!, both all are available for download below. Members are encourage to review both presentations with their departments and communities where they see fit.

• New Members: Welcome to the 27 new members of our team! They represent additional departments around the county including Brunswick Hills FD, Medina County JDC, Valley City FD, and Granger FD along with two additional clinicians from Alternative Paths.

• Certificates Needed: If you have not forwarded your ICISF Completion certificate, please do so to msavetski@mcfrst.org 

• Strategic Plan: The board had a special meeting in March to generate our strategic plan and set some goals. The Strategic Plan can be viewed below. 

• REACH App: Last year we discussed using the GroupMe Application as a means of communicating different team messages. Since then, the app has not functioned the way we thought it would and we have decided to utilize a different application called REACH. The REACH app does not require any download and serves as a way of sending group messages easier. You may occasionally receive messages or team updates to your phone via text message. 

• Ohio CISM Network Registration: We are needing to renew our Ohio CISM team registration. If you are a new member of our team and have not completed an application form yet, please do so and email the completed form to msavetski@mcfrst.org. If you are unsure about the date you completed the "Group CISM" training, please leave it blank. Application Forms can be found HERE. 

• Ohio First Responder Wellness Call: The Ohio Office of First Responder Wellness conducts a monthly wellness call where they review available resources and collaborate on a state level. Each member of our team is eligbile to sign up to participate ion the monthly call, which is held virtually via Microsoft Teams. If you are interested, email Anna Cable at the Ohio Office of Public Safety at amcable@dps.ohio.gov and request to be added to the call.

• First Responder's Bridge: The First Responder's Bridge is currently recruiting for their August 2025 Retreat. This is an all expenses paid (minus travel) retreat open to all first responders and significant others, including retirees. Please feel free to share their flyer with your agencies.
