AUGUST 18th MEETING SUMMARY

Thank you to those of you that were able to meeting via Microsoft Teams on 8/18. A sincere apology to those who had difficulties signing in and joining the meeting. We discussed several topics including:

• • 2025 Data to Date - How many times our team has been utilized. 

  • YTD Financials - A quick overview of our funds and recent donations. 

  • Quarterly Team Meeting Plan - SEE ABOVE! November's meeting will be virtual as well

  • New Initiatives: 

    • First Responder Mental Health Grants - The idea here is to provide a set amount of money for first responders to utilize for mental health. This is geared more towards individuals with financial difficulties that would need assistance in covering the cost of their treatment. A policy is being developed and more information will be forthcoming. 

    • EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing. Watch a quick 9-minute video of exactly what it is below. The idea behind this is to start offering this service to first responders in our county. More information will be forthcoming!

  • The slides from the meeting can be found below. 

• The PEER SUPPORT page on our website is now active! We are looking to add more pictures and bios to the site. If you are someone who tends to be more interested in the peer support aspect of our team rather than the group setting, this is a perfect opportunity for you! Click HERE to complete your bio.

• Certificates Needed: If you have not forwarded your ICISF Completion certificate, please do so to msavetski@mcfrst.org 

• Ohio CISM Network Registration: We are needing to renew our Ohio CISM team registration. If you are a new member of our team and have not completed an application form yet, please do so and email the completed form to msavetski@mcfrst.org. If you are unsure about the date you completed the "Group CISM" training, please leave it blank. Application Forms can be found HERE.
